Making Christmas cookies with Grandma

It's a tradition with mom and I, to make candy cane cookies, each Christmas. They are my favorite cookies! So this year, we thought that we'd let the boys help us. They were so excited, and actually did really well at making them.

Jonah helping Grandma put the peppermint sprinkles on.
He actually ate more of the dough and sprinkles, than make them into cookies!
The finished product, of the boys! Some of them broke too, so they were going to eat these ones first!

Christmas Concerts

For Jonah's Sunday school,Christmas project, they all sang for the residents of Mill Street Homes. They all sang great, and the folks there loved it! They also handed out Christmas cards, and candy!
Jonah has almost all boys in his Sunday school class, they were so fun to listen to!
"This Little Light of Mine", and "Jingle Bells".

School Concert

These are kinda hard to see, but they are from Jaxon & Jonah's Christmas concert at school, a couple days before Christmas. We didn't get any good pics of Jonah, because he was stuck behind a taller girl. He did a great job though, as did Jaxon. They each sang 4 songs, with their class. It was a fun night, and lots of people came to watch...both Grandpa and Grandma's were there, along with Brittney and Nathan (Amber would have come too, but she was really sick). Before the concert, we had some dessert, to celebrate Britt's birthday!

These are pictures from our Church's Christmas concert

Jaxon had a part to say, and sang a song

Jonah and Hayden each sang a song, and Jonah got to show everyone how he could kick a soccer ball into the goal!

Results of the MRI...

I got the call yesterday evening.....everything was negative. Meaning Hayden's spine was clear, nothing to worry about!! It was great news, now we don't have to worry about anything. He must have sat on his legs wrong, or turned something, without us knowing. It was a scary moment, but he has been fine since. So I guess I wasn't too worried, but it feels great to have for sure, news!
Thank you so much for all your prayers and concern! They always help in lifting our spirits, sometimes mine just seem to run low, like last week! I just had to rely on God, otherwise I think I would be depressed all the time, and that is no way to live. God wants us to trust him with everything, and lots of times, I start trying to do it on my own. I need to work on giving things to Him right away, so I don't have to go at it on my own!
We had a pretty busy weekend, with a Christmas concert at church, on Sunday. I will post pics soon, but all 3 boys did great! It was a little too much for Jax, and he was bad off yesterday. We just decided to keep him home and let him rest. He really didn't move at all until after lunch, and even after that, he just read on his bed, until Jonah came home. After supper, he started to move around more, and was playing with his brothers, some too. This morning, he woke up feeling pretty good. His cheeks were normal color (which is a good indicator of how he is feeling, they are really red of he is in a flare), and he was moving around pretty good. He was sore, but not as bad as yesterday.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers!

An Early Morning

Hayden hanging out in his bed, eating the many treats Grandma brought for him!

Hayden had his MRI yesterday morning @ about 8:45am. We had to be there at 6:45am, so we had to leave Ashby around 5am to pick up my mom. She braved the (way too) cold, to come with us, which was so nice of her. I was pretty tired and nervous, so it was great to have her along. Brittney also came up to hang out with us, she lives in Fargo, so she was close. But, that's still pretty early to wake up, cause she went out before, to get us coffee's, from Caribou! They were a great way to wake up, thanks Britt!!
Hayden was under for about 2 hours, and woke up great. He got to leave about noon, and we went and got something for lunch, then went to see Britt's apartment. The roads were wonderful, both ways, thank the Lord!
We still haven't heard anything, so I'm assuming that's good news, cause if there was something, we would probably know, right away. I will post the results when I get them!
Thank you everyone, for your prayers and thoughts, we feel them all!

His mad face!!
Hayden was a little mad, when he was waking up, but we eventually got that out of him!
His happy face, 2 seconds later!

These are taken at the front of Peds. in Meritcare. Hayden loved the little tree house, that he found while we walked around, when we waited for his MRI. He really wanted his picture taken by it, before we left!

Update......

I just wanted to write a little bit about Jax and Hayden, especially for family, to catch up. Jaxon has been having a rough couple of weeks, he has been in a lot of pain. His ankles have been really sore and swollen, his hips have been bothering him (which hasn't been a problem, lately), and his shoulders have been really sore too. Of course, he has been such a trooper, as usual, but we can tell it is taking it's toll on him. He as been more sad lately, and having a hard time concentrating at school. I know this sounds really dreary, and sad, but I know those who read this blog, are praying. Prayer is one of the main reasons, that we have made it through these last few years! We have so many people praying, thank you so much! This is just a little update on how to pray for Jax. It is such a roller coaster of a disease, sometimes we just coast through our days, with Jax being just fine, then there are days like we've had, that are more hard. He has been pretty resilient, these last few years. But these flares, are harder and harder to work through, for him. I think he is realizing more and more, what he is dealing with.
Then there is Hayden.... he has been doing great, these last few years. He just got new braces, last month, that you can't even see in his shoes! But, on Sunday evening, he crawled upstairs, crying about his right leg. He didn't walk the rest of the night, and was in a lot of pain. The weird thing is, that I could move it all over, if I just went slowly. We tried to get him to stand on it, but he would just fall over to the right. We put him to bed, and checked on him lots during the night. He woke up doing a little better, but still falling over some, and unable to walk up the stairs. So, I decided to call his neurologist, because it just didn't feel right, with his background. They were glad I called, cause it wasn't normal, and told us that he needed to have a MRI, just to make sure. Since Monday, after his nap, he has been just fine. Walking around, with out falling, and climbing the stairs, with no problems. We have his MRI tomorrow morning @ 6:45am, in Fargo. Not the best time, cause we have to leave here @ 5am, but it will be good to check it out. There can be relapses of the Transverse Myelitis, but it is rare. There is also a greater risk of MS, since he had TM, so it will be good to make sure to rule those things out, because it is probably nothing!
Now you are all caught up, life just doesn't slow down around our house!! But, we are so thankful, and blessed, for the prayers and support we have in our lives!

Pictures forgotten!!

So, I totally forgot to put these on here!! It was over a month ago, but oh well!! Jax still wanted me to get them posted. He got to have a friend birthday party this year, at the bowling alley! He invited 4 friends from school, and one from church. They got to bowl, eat pizza and pop, with cupcakes for dessert. It was a great time, but a little loud! Jonah and Hayden were there too, of course, and got to bowl a little bit.

The whole group!

Bowling fun!
