Bridal Shower Bonanza!

Amber's Bridal Fun!
Shower # 1 (but actually our last!)- Sat. July 25th at my house.

Judi, Brittney and I have had a blast these last few weeks, attending our soon to be sister-in-law and daughter-in-law's Bridal Showers. Nathan and Amber will be getting married in just 3 weeks from today, and she is glowing! This was the last shower of 3 that we have been able to be apart of, they were all so fun, and different! Judi, Brittney and I hosted this one, and my mom helped too, with the food. We had a wonderful brunch, a few games and presents. Lots of family and friends were there to help celebrate, we even had Amber wear a bridal tiara!
Here is Amber and her mom Barb.
Grandma Ruby(on the right) and her sister Adeline wore the same outfit, without even planning to. But they reminded us, that they wore different pants.
One of the gifts was a recipe easel. We all brought recipes for Amber to try out on Nathan.

Our brunch: Judi(& Kevin) made a delicious egg bake, mom made her awesome rolls and Helen brought fruit. It was a great spread!
Judi started the morning off with scripture and prayer.
Brittney was in charge of our games! We had a blast with toilet paper and our purses!
The Twins!(They really aren't twins)

Looking for $3 in change, for one of our games.

Shower #2- July 19th @ Amber's cousins home in the Cities.

Judi and I traveled to the Cities for a "Fiesta" shower, put on by Amber's family! Brittney met us there, because she was down in Rochester, visiting Grandpa and Grandma Knick. It was amazing that we made it there in time, with the wrong turns I made in downtown Minneapolis! Amber's cousin Brittney, who will be in the wedding, hosted our fiesta. We had a wonderful meal; non-alcoholic margarita's, a taco bar (with all kinds of great toppings), and margarita cake. It was all so good! It was really fun to be able to meet Amber's side of the family, before the wedding!

We are so excited for Nathan and Amber's big day, and are so happy to add Amber and her family to ours! Thanks Amber, for letting me be apart of your special days leading up to the wedding! I am thrilled to call you my sister-in-law!

Swimming lessons

Jaxon and Jonah had swimming lessons this last week, and loved it! Hayden was going to try it too, but is still a little unsteady in the water. He had a blast staying up close to the shore and just splashing around by himself. It is great to have the boys learn to swim in a lake, and there couldn't be a better one to learn in, Eagle Lake is so clean and nice!

Jonah back floating!

Jaxon's back kicks!
Jonah loved wearing his goggles (he called them his "glow in the dark" goggles!)

Hayden's Mustache

Hayden came up from downstairs, looking like this one afternoon, so I had to get it on camera! They were having oreo's for snack, but I don't know how he got it to look like this? Who knows, but it is way too funny!!

Fun with cousins, 4th of July part #2 and Judi's Birthday!

All the boy cousins together. We missed you, Joanna!
At least we got one good one, but I think this one is pretty cute too!
Jaxon loved taking care of Morghan, he was so gentle and good with him!
Jonah wanted to help too!

Matti and Jonah are great buddies already! Matti is a big Jonah fan, and I think Jonah feels the same way about Matti too!
One of the best parts of our 4th of July, was meeting our new little nephew and cousin, Morghan! He is such a handsome little guy, just like his brother, but as you can see, he is quite a bit darker. He looks a little more like Jon, I think. We had a ton of fun in the pool and in the hotel with Matti and Morghan.

On Sunday we had a birthday party for Grandma J. at our house. We had great food, and a lot of fun together! Nathan and Amber brought steaks and a lettuce salad from their garden, Brittney brought shrimp and bread sticks, Kevin made potato salad and fruit salad, and Jeremy made 2 Banana Cream pies. We couldn't have had any better food! After lunch we had a fun game of T-ball! Hope you had a great birthday Judi, we sure loved hanging out with you !!

4th of July....a little late!

The boys had a blast on the slip-and-slide!!

Dad helping Jonah light his firecracker. Might as well start them early!

Smoke bombs.
Jeremy is looking like Superman,(at least that's what he said!) setting off a roman candle.
Marge and her sparkler!

We had a really fun, but busy 4th weekend! We left about 8am on Friday morning for the Cities, with my Grandpa Vold riding along. My Uncle Don was here from Houston, and my aunt Marge's son Scott, and his family were here from Colorado, so my aunt had us all to her house for a get together. The boys had a blast, because there were 6 other little boys there to play with. We had a great lunch and supper, the boys had a blast on the slip and slide, and swimming at the hotel, and we had tons of fun setting off some fireworks, that night.
